Dr. Sporns said continued research should help produce a complete and detailed neural wiring diagram, what he called the "connectome" of the brain. "We hope we can get to a place where we have, in effect, a brain simulator, in the same way we have computer models that can simulate the climate," he said, "so we can simulate activation patterns we see in clinical cases," like psychiatric problems and brain injuries.

Interactive maps should add to your presentations and not take your readers attention away from the main point. People will read your presentation to know how your business is doing and so don't complicate it unnecessarily. Try to keep maps clean and simple and let them support your presentation in a subtle manner.

Currently, there are 68 public universities and 56 private universities in Pakistan. Eight public and 18 private institutions have degree awarding status. The average expenditure on education as a percentage of GDP has been little more than two per cent from 2006 to 2008 (Salman Shuaib, 2007).According to British council report in July 2009 the driving force for all Pakistanis to study overseas is increased employability in a competitive marketplace.

The moment you create mindmaps using rules, you are only writing the same information in a different format. For most people this is a nice way they find (more) answers. Watching the same information in a different overview triggers your brain - the information 'changed'. I believe this helps you to get much more from your information. The visual map (or mindmap) helps you to discover more more or sometimes hidden information.

I am panicking. I have four units to learn before my deadline and I'm finding it increasingly hard to keep up with the "revision" work required. I've never learnt a language so quickly, nor remembered words so easily since secondary school vocabulary tests. But the time pressures mean that this isn't quite as much fun as it was to start with, and my mind maps are less detailed, and therefore less easily remembered. What's more, I now have competition. My 14-year-old son Luke has decided to join me in the course, and he has done four units in two weeks - with spectacular mind maps and more convincing pronunciation.

Using the same analogy, we could say we are being ambidextrous when we are multi-tasking - talking over the phone, writing down information, watching TV and so on. The difference is that instead of our hands, we are using both our right and left hemispheres to successfully juggle our tasks. You may have heard some people referred as 'right-brained' or 'left-brained'. In essence it means that the person displays more 'right' or 'left' oriented skills, although we are all the time integrating both hemispheres in our daily activities.

Real-time brain activity scans have been developed to accurately assess a TBI patient. The scan is known as magnetoencephalography (MEG) and allows victims who suffer from TBI-induced epilepsy to find reprieve through more accurate diagnosis and monitoring.

Obviously there are some brain mechanisms at work that make learning easy and everlasting, just remember the saying "once burnt, twice shy" - then remember how often you reread stuff for your school assignments and still it "wouldn't stick"!These brain mechanisms or neuromechanisms are today better understood than ever, what with all the new gadgets that neuroscientists have at their disposal for watching your brain at work without having to open your skull, e.g. computer tomography.

The process with which an impression is made on adult brain plasticity, is known as Brainwave entrainment. It is a process that lets the brain to achieve higher levels of operation, by assimilating new patterns of thought and action into the ones already in place. To better illustrate how it works, it can be compared to a language learning tape where an expert speaker pronounces words and phrases, for you to do your best to repeat them as precisely as possible. With lots of practice and repetition, anyone doing the exercise will sound very much like the instructor in the tape itself.

My partner displayed most of these symptoms and even after almost three years post injury, he still has difficulties with some of them although to a lesser degree than he originally had. I believe strongly that my persistence in having him do the various cognitive exercises helped him reach the stage where he now can enjoy life to a greater degree than he might otherwise have.

The question remains how do you avoid taking the blame for someone else's brain spasm. Well I like to fall back to a simple but highly effective approach to help the whole team out. It is called Mind Mapping. Don't think Vulcan Mind Meld... think more whiteboards and those delightfully scented markers. These work best because the fumes free the mind, but online collaboration software will do the trick too.

If anything, the study suggests there is a larger payment to the spiritual exercise, since the training sessions short tremendous benefits seemed more like five years later gives. It would be like if someone went to the gym Monday through Friday during the first two weeks of the new year has not practice for five years, and still saw significant physical benefits in 2012.

Have you ever wondered why you try so hard but fail time and time again to generate the income you want and deserve into your life? It is not because you aren't trying or don't deserve it but because of those ingrained subconscious thoughts that are just contradicting what you are trying to do.

As you continue to add associated ideas to your outer circles or branches, you continue to draw the connections. You will notice as you fill them in that there are cross connections that appear. I find it helpful to draw lines between those interconnecting ideas.
